Gardenias, Camellias, Hibiscus, Azaleas & Crape Myrtles – Spraying the plants as directed, can rid your plant of bugs, scale, fungus, aphids, etc. This is done by the microbial action of the Worm Tea. The trace elements and minerals of Worm Tea are building a healthy plant with an immune system that can fight off the usual attackers. Plants are like humans, if we are healthy, we have a better chance at fighting off disease.
Trees Shade, fruit trees and large shrubs – Spray leaves and bark on limbs as well as the trunk to eliminate fungus, rust, black mold, aphids, spider mites, etc. Worm Tea feeds trees through the leaves. Spray more often during fruiting and growing season.
Lawns – Worm Tea is especially good at combating St. Augustine thatch build up. After mowing, spray the yard. Worm Tea will break down thatch into humus that in turn builds up the nutrients in your soil. No Thatch = No Chinch Bugs! Also, use when sowing seeds to encourage the growth of a healthy lawn. Grass Clippings when left on the lawn and allowed to build up can smother your grass. Using Worm Tea accelerates decomposition and breaks down the clippings turning them into soil nutrients. This product is completely safe for children and pets and will not contaminate water systems.
Seed Planting – Soak seeds 12 – 24 hours prior to planting to speed germination.
Transplanting – Dip root ball in Worm Tea before planting to give your plant a jump start. Then spray the entire plant and ground after planting.
APPLICATION OF WORM TEA
Worm Tea can be used in full strength or diluted to 1 – 50 ratio. Measure 3 or 4 ounces (1/3 to 1/2 cup) to 1 gallon of chlorine free water. If using City water, set open bucket outside for 48 hours to allow the chlorine to dissipate. The sprayer you use must be free of all chemical residue in order to produce the best results. We recommend that you designate a sprayer for use only with your natural products.
WHEN TO SPRAY
Always spray either in the early morning or late afternoon for best results. This protects the microbes from UV rays. Live microbes facilitate the absorption of nutrients by breaking down minerals for your plants and also act as a fungicide and insecticide. The microbes will be able to work through the night and will be more effective in promoting healthier plants.
