2023年8月25日，我院流行病与卫生统计学学科组在《Environmental Science and Pollution Research》(IF=5.8）发表学术论文两篇，题目分别为《Association of greenness with the disease burden of lower respiratory infections and mediation effects of air pollution and heat: a global ecological study》和《Associations of Air Pollution and Greenness With Global Burden of Breast Cancer: An Ecological Study》。
《Association of greenness with the disease burden of lower respiratory infections and mediation effects of air pollution and heat: a global ecological study》表示暴露于绿地与有益健康结果之间的联系日益密切，但绿地暴露与下呼吸道感染疾病负担之间的关系尚不清楚。该论文使用归一化差异植被指数（NDVI）和叶面积指数（LAI）来衡量绿地暴露，并使用下呼吸道感染（LRIs）的发病率、死亡率和伤残调整寿命年（DALYs）来表示LRIs的疾病负担，结果显示绿地暴露与 LRIs 疾病负担呈显著负相关。
《Associations of Air Pollution and Greenness With Global Burden of Breast Cancer: An Ecological Study》则探索了乳腺癌和空气污染与绿色暴露之间的联系。还评估了细颗粒物（PM2.5）、臭氧（O3）、二氧化氮（NO2）对绿地暴露与乳腺癌疾病负担之间关系的潜在中介效应。研究结果，空气污染物与乳腺癌疾病负担呈正相关，而绿色暴露与乳腺癌疾病负担呈负相关。
